Bass Fishing is Fair and they are starting to show up on gravel, secondary points, shallow humps, road beds and some deeper gravel or rocky banks, Rat L Traps are starting to produce a lot of fish, shallow running crank baits are also producing well. The Spotted Bass are really showing up on gravel points, a Texas rigged Senko style worm in green pumpkin/chartreuse, is producing a lot of Bass.
Crappie Fishing is Great and the Crappie have done very well this past week, lots of stringer of 40-60 fish are being caught, Tuesday was the the toughest day this past week. The Crappie are suspended 8-12 feet deep and even shallower in some areas. Long line trolling with 1/24 and 1/16 ounce Jiffy Jigs www.jiffyjigs.com in colors JJ01, JJ05, JJ08, JJ13, JJ17,JJ24,JJ33 is a great way to catch these suspended Crappie. Look for the Crappie suspended in the deeper water of the cove's and in the middle of the old river channels. A float and fly technique is also catching a lot of fish in these same area's. Little River, Little Spring Creek and the Chattooga River are producing the best fishing. The bays in the upper Coosa around Riverside camp Ground are starting to turn on also.
Striper Fishing is Poor and most Stripers have made the run up into the rivers for the spawn. Mayo's Lock and Dam in Georgia is where most of the stripers are being caught.
Catfish are biting good in the flats 6-10 feet deep on cut shad

Bass Fishing is Good and they are on their winter pattern. Jigs, Drop Shot rigs and Carolina rigs are catching a lot of Bass. Little River is producing a lot of big Spotted Bass right now, on any part of the main River channel with large rocks.
Crappie Fishing is Good and the Crappie are starting to move into the bays and cove's. The Crappie are suspended 4-8 feet deep and even shallower in some coves. Long line trolling with 1/24 and 1/16 ounce Jiffy Jigs www.jiffyjigs.com in colors JJ01, JJ08, JJ13, JJ17, JJ24 and JJ33 is a great way to catch these suspended Crappie. A float and fly technique is also catching a lot of fish in these same area's. Little River, Little Spring Creek and the bays around Riverside Campground are starting to produce a lot of Crappie.
Striper Fishing is fair and they are starting to show up on the river and creek channel ledges in 8-16 feet of water, slow trolling live shad is always a good way to catch these fish, trolling a 1/4 once jig with a white 3-4 inch Sassy Shad body is also a good way to catch these winter stripers.

Long line trolling with 1/24 and 1/16 ounce Jiffy Jigs www.jiffyjigs.com in colors JJ01, JJ05, JJ08, JJ13, JJ17,JJ24,JJ33 is a great way to catch these suspended Crappie. Look for the Crappie suspended in the deeper water of the cove's and in the middle of the old river channels. Little River, Little Spring Creek and the Chattooga River are producing the best fishing. The bays in the upper Coosa around Riverside camp Ground are starting to turn on also. The Power House lake is also starting to produce a lot of Crappie. I expect the fish to really turn on over the next 2 weeks.
Striper Fishing is Poor and most Stripers have made the run up into the rivers for the spawn. Mayo's Lock and Dam in Georgia is where most of the stripers are being caught.
Catfish are biting good in the flats 6-10 feet deep on cut shad

Bass Fishing is Fair and most Bass have spawned and started moving to the grass beds, shallow docks and sea walls. Jigs, worms and shallow running crank baits and spinner baits are catching a lot of fish.
Crappie Fishing is Fair and most crappie have moved to deep brush and cover on the old river channel ledges 8-14 feet deep.
Spider rigging with live minnows is the way to catch these post spawn Crappie.
Striper Fishing is Poor and they are still up the rivers on their spawning run, look for them to start moving back to the lake over the next few weeks.
Catfish are biting good in the flats 8-20 feet deep on cut shad.
