Bass fishing is Great and alot of fish have moved deep back to the creek and river channel ledges in 6-10 feet of water. These fish are being caught on crank baits, spinner baits, jigs and Carolina rigged plastics. Some Bass are still on the banks in 3-6 feet of water, flipping docks with jigs and tube baits is producing some good fish. Casting shallow running crank baits down deeper banks near the spawning area's is catching fish also.

Crappie fishing is poor and the Crappie have mostly moved back to the river and creek channels in 12 to 18 feet of water on the drop offs. Spider rigging with minnows and Jiffy Jigs is the ways to catch these post spawn fish. Shooting docks with a 1/24th ounce Jiffy Jig is also producing a few fish.

Striper fishing is good and they have started showing up in the main lake from Cedar Bluff to Leesburg, and at the Cave Hole in some good numbers. Fish the deeper points and river channel ledges in 12 to 20 feet of water, use live shad on a down lines 8 to 10 feet deep, always put out a flat line to catch the shallower fish as you slow troll the points and ledges. The lower Chattooga River and Little Spring Creek are also producing some quality fish.

Catfish are biting great and can be caught on any kind of cut bait in the bays. Target the bays where the marina's are located. The Crappie fishermen cleaning their catch and discarding the waste really draws in the Catfish to these bays.
